You will need an animation, presentation, 3D rendering, or paint program that
imports TIFF or PICT graphics such as 3D Studio™, Strata Studio Pro™, Fractal
Design Ray Dream Designer™, Specular Infini-D™, or CrystalGraphics TOPAS™. For
editing, you will need an image manipulation program,such as Adobe Photoshop™,
Fractal Design Painter™, or Corel PhotoPaint™.

What is the City Surfaces CD?

City Surfaces provides a large collection of seamless textures of images you would
find in a city. The images are specifically designed with 3D rendering in mind. The
seamless tiles will fit together without a trace of the seam, either on one axis (i.e., side
by side) or on both the horizontal and vertical axes.
Included are buildings, sidewalks, store fronts, parking lots, skies, and accessory
items such as street signs, manholes, and parking meters. The buildings, parking lots
and skies will tile vertically and horizontally. The store fronts and most of the
sidewalks are designed to tile end to end, which enables the user to make as long a
sidewalk or store front as necessary. Most of the accessories are images designed to
be used in conjunction with the other images, and do not tile. Selection masks have
been provided for the accessories so your 3D rendering application can use the mask
as a channel to determine transparency.

The seamless images are offered in three resolutions each with Artbeats’ usual
meticulous quality standards for maximum usability. Most of the images have
corresponding bump or reflection maps, and many have both. Two images have
included glow maps.

Whether you are an architect, a game developer, designer, or just using the product
for fun, you will find the materials you need to create your own unique, photorealistic
environment.
